A new Truth Social post from Donald Trump has everyone talking about Trump using the FCC to rig polls in his favor. But this isn’t the first time he’s rigged the polls.

The belief is that he had the corruption in place to steal 2020 but they were not prepared and could not manipulate the overwhelming number of absentee votes because of COVID.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that the computerized vote has been hacked? Every computer system can be hacked, and now GOP controls ~80% of machines (ES&S and Liberty Vote (formerly Dominion)) so they likely don't even need real-time hacks in many precincts to win. They are hacking elections on the tabulation side as well as the voter registration side (deleting real voters and adding ghost voters who vote how they program them -- see the work of Alison Greene @itsuptous). Republicans have been hacking elections since HAVA was passed in 2002 to allow computerized voting. It has become more egregious with Trump, especially with Musk helping run real-time hacks (supposedly even Oracle/Israel may have helped in 2024). Trump only lost in 2020 because the enormous wave of mail-in ballots overcame the preset hacks. The most obvious recent hack was Massie's primary (see the work of @electiontruthalliance).
To understand the full history of GOP hacking, how it has right-shifted our government at all levels, and left democrats grasping at straws for explanations on losses, read Jonathan Simon's book, Code Red: Computerized Elections and the War on American Democracy. He's made it free and publicly available on his website as a PDF (see below). Every democracy-loving American has no excuse not to read this. He was educated at Harvard and NYU School of Law and was the only person in the world who took screenshots of the exit polls in 2004 before they disappeared (poll companies took them down because they didn't match the vote results in the first election after computerized vote machines were legalized). Exit polls are used to determine the legitimacy of an election and ours have been manipulated since 2004 (now estimated beforehand with a right shift (e.g., only count 6/10 Dem votes (actual people who voted for Dems) but count all 10/10 Rep votes), and then they further adjust the actual projected exit poll to match whatever the vote count is (and then readjust the right-shift for next year's poll depending on how off the estimate was). For any other country where the exit polls are manipulated, the world would have cried election fraud, but other countries fear America and remained silent. For a computerized election system to work, we'd need an "exit poll-based 'burglar alarm' system, independent of media and corporate control to detect computerized vote shifting." His overall recommendation is to return to hand-counted ballots with a strict chain of custody–Norway and the Netherlands restored hand counting for their elections in 2017 after observing our 2016 election (and are notable for not having a right-shift in their politics like many other countries).
Well, he’s definitely trying again. Yet it’s hard to do it without the stat folks noticing and everything is shambolic with these Nat-Cs. Also some of these polls are ran out of Canada or organizations that aren’t necessarily that friendly to Trump.
Isn't it amusing that while demanding $130,000 for the reimbursement for Ms. Daniels, Cohen had to throw in the $35 wire transfer fee. On this scale, it's like charging 82 cents for postage to mail a check.
In response to your BlueSky post, I just posted a NPR screenshot dated Jan 17, 2019 of Cohen acknowledging their scheme to rig the Presidential polls. It’s amusing that their once proud bombastic boasts are now part of their big beautiful undoing.
