Are the remaining government lawyers just really bad, sloppy, not-really-very-bright arrogant jerks? Or did this one deliberately present this bad a case to make a point?

Granted, it’s a bad case, full of suspect “evidence” but I’m thinking it’s still the former. This admin will go to any ridiculous lengths in pursuit of their form of “justice”.

If this one wanted to make a point they could have refused to present the case. They didn’t do that.

Presumably not intentionally, but you’re looking for some way to find a reason these prosecutors aren’t evil people. But they are. They are clearly presenting as evidence testimony they *KNOW* is false in order to punish a man they *KNOW* is innocent.

Do not blind yourself to that fact. These are indeed evil people, and we should recognize that. There is no virtue in refusing to admit there is evil.

You credit me with being much nicer than I am. I wasn't looking for some way to think these people aren't evil. The question was rhetorical.
