“Again, it’s called TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME” He really had to state a stupid phrase like that twice? What a putz.

jaromanny's avatar

I'm so sick of them trying to use this made up syndrome against people who are clearly the sane ones in the room. It's almost as tired as calling someone a "Karen".

Sandy's avatar

Right! They're the ones with a disorder - Trump Delusional Syndrome, in which sufferers truly believe he is the anointed one and that he loves them. One supporter, whom I know well and love, even said that he's like the father who "disciplines" his "children" for misbehaving. UFB!

DebChilde's avatar

Do they not know he was founded guilty of rape? How the fk do you just except that like it never happened ??

DebChilde's avatar

We need to build more mental health clinics.

DebChilde's avatar

He fans are the ones with derangement in the brain. They would probably have learning issues !

Kerry Beatty's avatar

Why does it feel as though the urgent need for construction of the bunker and ballroom is to ensure its completion by January 2029?

Michelle Heitman's avatar

Yeah, that’s a bit creepy to think about. He is obsessed with that ballroom and also with naming things after himself.

Colly66's avatar

Its creepy because he is a creep - and I think he is panicking now as he knows the people are going to turn on him, needs his bunker.

LK WOODRUFF's avatar

He's never gonna leave… but we c seal it all off….

MaryB in NC's avatar

Exactly. The Emperor’s Bunker.

Ginny K's avatar

Sounds like that's where he will install himself so he can't be forced out. Toddy B is such a clown. What happened to that fucking guy??! I can't wait until he is disbarred.

Marge Hartley's avatar

I feel like Trump and company want it to hide in (like Hitler hid in his bunker) and fuck the rest of the country when we are attacked by whomever those mother fuckers are paying to attack we the people! They are entirely too adamant about getting this think built ASAP. I feel they are planning something very bad for our country. Everyone had better wake the fuck up!!

Brevity's avatar

All a ballroom does is make for an excellent target….which Trump will never be hiding out in if the shit hits the fan. If there is wind of an attack, Trump will be long gone. If not, he’ll be dictating to his shitstirring textographer while having a Big Mac in whatever room he fancies. Bunk up Brumpster!

Linda Garcia's avatar

So he can hide in there and refuse to relinquish power. We barely got rid of him the first time. He has no intention of leaving now that he is in power again.

CB Murray's avatar

I'm no judge, but unless he's going to live in the ballroom or carry it around like a turtle shell, then his argument is moot. Trump goes to Mar-a-Lago or on some golf trip every chance he gets, and seems perfectly comfortable doing so and doesn't fear for national security. This ballroom is 100% vanity project and anyone with half a brain can see that.

Betsy Groth's avatar

The Republicans who claim the necessity of this stupid ballroom could not possibly debase themselves any further. They are on their knees, waiting for the psychopath to pull down his pants.

The whole thing at the WH correspondents dinner was staged.

Release the Epstein files.

CB Murray's avatar

I keep thinking they can't sink lower, but then they get out their little shovels and find a way.

J AZ's avatar

As his dementia said a few weeks back, “dig we must” (IYKYK)

Barbara A Nichols's avatar

Right on Betsy !!! That is the best assessment I've read or heard.

I don't understand why people cannot plainly see that tRump does NOTHING for the benefit of others; it is ALWAYS ABOUT HIMSELF.

J AZ's avatar

CB - yes, and also to football stadiums, wrasslin’ meets, fast food photo ops, MAGA revival meetings…. He’s out and about without his shell a fair bit - disproving Blanche’s claim.

The court might realize that somewhere between a fairly low security hotel setting and an impenetrable fortress, there are numerous security options that DO NOT involve destroying a national landmark building

Janell's avatar

"Wear it like a turtle shell" 🤪funny

Viva Democracy's avatar

100% decoy. It’s all about the “bunker” that most Americans know nothing about.

CB Murray's avatar

I shudder to think what evil awaits down there, but still...they still have the green light to work on it. The ostentatious above-ground is what they're crying about.

Kay Romeo's avatar

This is the most baseless, unprofessional and disingenuous pleading ever filed. I think Trump or maybe Cheung wrote it, but Blanche should be sanctioned for filing it under Rule 11. The tone, the lies and distortions are unacceptable for an officer of the court. Let alone the US AG. The court should deny it anyway, as it is not the president’s event, and it isn’t for them to declare the WH as the venue. POTUS can skip it next time. Like he has always done as POTUS. Because he has no sense of humor and cannot tolerate anyone taking a jibe at him. And make SS raise the security level, as should have been done. Why did they get to pick the entertainment anyway?? MSM is gutless and are being played yet again by these assholes. Perfect scowling pic of Blanche though. Chef’s kiss.

Shazbot Vexed's avatar

They also repeatedly refer to the alleged attacker as “the assassin.” Even though he didn’t kill anyone. Words mean nothing to these gaslighting fascist buffoons.

J AZ's avatar

Assumes facts not in evidence

LK WOODRUFF's avatar

I patently disagree: T uses specific words when trying to direct vileness & anger at specific targets.

Wendy's avatar

Well, if Presidential Security is the issue - THEN MAR-A-LAGO GETS MOTHBALLED. NO MORE visits to ANY of his properties. No more tooling around out on the golf courses, no more attending events at his property ballrooms, no more rallies, no nothing. No attending Dana White’s UFC venues, no going to sporting events, none of that. None of those places are totally secure, totally sniper/drone/bomb proof.

Trump must stay on The White House campus. I’d be fine with that. Now if someone would just remove his janky social app from his phone - that would be a huge solid to the country.

Michele Larocque's avatar

This sample of Todd Blanche's writing reminds me of tRump's truth social posts.

J AZ's avatar

Copypasta, right down to the odd capitalization …or has Blanche been writing T’s bleats all these years? 🤔

Wayne's avatar

I'm speculating, but it seems like this "motion" is not meant for the Judge, but is meant for Trump as part of Blanche's audition to be appointed full time Attorney General. When you are in Trump's orbit, you do crazed, non-sensical things to please him regardless of the longer term outcomes. You attempt to deal with the fallout of those longer term outcomes at a later date. So it will be interesting to see what the Judge says, but that's next week's problem for Blanche and in the meantime, you've pleased the boss...

Unfortunately, this is the sad state of America today.

Wayne's avatar

Ditto now indicting James Comey.

Good speculation!!

A smart person (not me) pointed out that donald was targeted on a golf course and it didn't dissuade him from exposing himself to another attack on a golf course. So this isn't about protection. It's about WINNING. F*ck this loser-in-chief. You don't like the job, get out. You don't deserve it.

Sara's avatar

This is where they will hide and refuse to leave in 2029. Hoping the new POTUS can just lock ‘em in there, under siege, until they eventually collapse from Big Mac withdrawal and lack of Lasix. Then are taken away in handcuffs.

Steve Haddon's avatar

Re: "I’m very curious to see how Judge Leon responds to it."

Hopefully, the judge's response will be: "Fuck off, you moronic, arse-licking twat!"

Sara's avatar

I suspect he will be far more clever. :)

Michael Lawler's avatar

There was already a secure bunker under the East Wing. It is ludicrous that Trump has gotten away with the demolition of any part of our, the Nation's, public structures. But I suspect his true intent is to put up a building that can withstand an electromagnetic blast, and from which he cannot be extracted on January 20, 2029. A White House ballroom is irrelevant to the Correspondents' Dinner. Presidents are invited, but as Trump has demonstrated, they are not required to attend.

Stephen Shaul's avatar

My morning coffee has been duly snorted. More than once. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Pamela Beckford's avatar

Without a doubt in my mind, Blanche may have signed this, but Trump wrote it

Jan's avatar

Blanche probably did write it. He follows everything that trump does or says. He is a trump clone!

Connie Farnham's avatar

So I am guessing that Mar A Lago must then have the most up to date security features, because of all of 🍊🤡’s time & events. No? Not even a bunker? No? You mean it’s a club & people just wander in & out? Yes. 🍊🤡 actually just eats in the dining room with everyone else.

J AZ's avatar

Connie - for security, one can hide behind all those file boxes in the bathrooms

"Libertarian duet" - you slay me!

Looks like Steven Cheung was promoted to AG.

1. The WHCD is not a White House event and wouldn’t have been held on the grounds. 2. This is the 6th? WHCD with DJT in office and the 1st he’s attended. 3. There were more people seated at the WHCD than the ballroom could hold 4. “Privately funded” in secret is a bug, not a feature. It’s corruption.

Perhaps when the line of succession jointly attends an event they should arrange for appropriate security. No part of our government is functional right now.
