ProPublica recently published heart-wrenching letters from children at Dilley. ICE then raided the dormitories to confiscate and destroy those letters. I've filed a Freedom of Information Act Request.
I truly cannot imagine how devoid of compassion and a soul you have to be to confiscate children's letters and drawings. And I'll bet at least some of the monsters that did that went home to their own children at the end of the day. It is truly inconceivable to me. :(
I attended a screening and discussion panel for Errol Morris' documentary based on Jacob Soboroff's "Separated," about the family separation policy of Trump's first term, right after the '24 election. The cruelty shared in that still sticks with me. Particularly how they consciously destroyed documentation that would allow young children to be reunited with their parents. So, unfortunately, I can't say that THIS even strikes me as "low even for ICE." They already have been MUCH crueler to children like these (and somehow, many CINOs - "Christians In Name Only" - put their enabler back in power.
Listen, several months back there was a press conference where Melania got up to talk about some initiative regarding foster kids. Everyone around me was talking about Trump and his bruised hand and how he trails off into incoherency before Melania's turn, and I was trying to tell them to pay attention to what Melania was saying. We were still getting to a vote on the Epstein files then, the AZ Senator was still waiting to be sworn in while they stalled to prevent a vote. And Melania was saying something about FOSTER KIDS.
We can bash Trump all we want, God knows he deserves every bit of it, the criminal bastard. But DON'T STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT PEOPLE AROUND HIM ARE SAYING.

We were trying to get proof of this rich, powerful cabal of pedophiles and they're starting an initiative related to vulnerable children who are wards of the state? Wake up, people! I am 83 years old and have seen a lot of political garbage in my lifetime, but never have I witnessed such cruelty and danger in the US. This is only the beginning I fear, and although I'm glad to be old, I hate what's in store for our young. I have a nine year old great grandson. What kind of world will he see as an adult (if the humans are still here).
Yes, it's so sad. This country has always had its dark side of cruelty and inhumanity but now there is no attempt to hide it. For as bad as social media can be, the fact that we have so any people recording things is good, as we won't be solely reliant on textbooks written by "certain people" for historical info. Let's hope that we can defeat this monsterous regime asap so that your great grandson and all the youngies (and us, too!) can have a good future.

According to local newspapers in San Antonio, the letters were burned after they were confiscated. As I understand it, local clergy were communicating with the children so some of them may have letters that got out before ICE intervened.
And this bothers DHS because these children are telling the truth about how they're being treated and their families why is this happening I feel like it's a f****** concentration camp it is a concentration camp at least they're not putting them in ovens yet disgusting I'm ashamed to say I'm an American right now

But I'm a hyperlexic AuDHD, and I read all sorts of things that pique my interest. And those things usually include mentions of other things like this that tend to send me down rabbit holes and chasing tangents. So I didn't know a lot of details, but I generally knew about some of it.
And a lot of amoral cultists are telling us we're being hyperbolic by saying the regime is acting like nazis. Just because we don't have extermination camps yet (that we know of... thousands of missing people) doesn't mean this isn't nazi behavior
