I just saw Sen. Blumenthal addressing this on MSNOW. I like him but it felt like another lecture on how lawless and unconstitutional it is. When are our representatives going to understand that we understand, are fearful, and need them to DO something?!! If there was an inkling of a plan to stop this, I missed it while I was yelling at the television……

I am not sure, but she has been questioned a lot by a judge? Check it out. She had to send the Judge a written reason why , she is still at DOJ.

it seems obvious to me that this administration has calculated the cost of lawsuits to be reasonable if the kick out aa many imigrants as possible. i dont like it but i see that clearly. i mean whats it to em? Its government money, not theirs and tgese greedheads have been in the biz of sueing each other forever.
Another way to look at it is setting up lawsuits. If you want to challenge certain aspects of the law, you need test cases. Throw it all at the wall and see what sticks. It is basically what heritage has done for decades and it worked. Now that method is just on steroids. Having a long game view is something democrats failed to adopt. There was a time when some were excellent at that, like the brilliant black lawyers who spent 50 years getting to brown, or rbg along the path to greater female equality. Unfortunately the republicans were better about sticking to a path, the democrats seem to have gotten bogged down in the cointelpro era and moved straight into Reagan capitalism light. Unfortunately I blame much on white educated women, a group to which I belong, and I recognize this is not a popular point of view. We did however bring you prohibition, and I maintain we could have stopped much of this along the way.

Lindsay Halligan finally resigned today, though only after a strongly worded decision by a judge.
