SCREAMING and crying! I am so angry I am so heartbroken I am so sickened that the Trump regime is so cruel and evil and that this was voted IN!! My heart goes out to Abrego, all of the people subjected to this torture and abuse and I pray their trauma is limited. WHAT HAVE WE DONE!

I'll thank you to not put the blame on all of us here. No WE applies. Only those mezmerized morons who voted for the orange nazi felon are responsible for this disgusting state of affairs. Save your blame spreading for these nasties, and perhaps yourself.

it's a collective "we' as in the whole of the united states -- are you kidding me right now that you think for once second that this was an actual direction at you? stop it.

It is “we.” We may have voted for the right person but we are not absolved. We are all citizens of this country and this outrage is on all of us whether we voted for it or not. Obviously we are not to blame, and some definitely carry more accountability, but things like this are happening to countless human beings as we argue blame. We, the citizens of this country with our humanity still intact, need to stand up and do all we can to battle this. It’s not time to attack each other when we are living amongst absolute evil. I know this post is not about blaming us individually, as a group we need to fight. As much as some of us hate that we are sharing this country with people that actually voted for this shit, we are still “we.” Until it stops we still share in the fact that it is happening.

Nice thought. Too bad it’s totally inaccurate. We will all be held responsible for this in the eyes of the international world. Americans are allowing this to happen.

All of this is being done in our name as Americans. If that troubles you, good. It should trouble you and all of us. This is the prelude to an American holocaust, and it is fucking despicable.

Not just “mesmerized morons”. Plenty of billionaires, corporate executives and typically greedy Republicans voted for him.

The U.S. has been headed in this direction at least since the Reagan administration and arguably since the founding. It's no coincidence that the victims here, like the victims of police violence (etc.), are people of color. Trump didn't come out of nowhere.

To think there are still hundreds of non-criminals removed from the US suffering these horrendous conditions!

Not to mention the other HUMAN beings being subjected to this terror! While we are a society w rules & punish those that break them; my hope would be that this kind of treatment should not be allowed for anyone!

The US has used near exactly this kind of torture in its Middle Eastern prisons and in their "dark sites".

There's no wide coverage of this. America is complicit in Trump's outrageous criminality. We are going down for the same reasons Nazi Germany did.

Human rights violations and no words on the horrific treatment of immigrants that are here because of a broken immigration system being used as fodder and disgust with this US fascist dictator and his regime. It is Shameful. This is what the GOP Legislators and the MAGA right wing Roberts Court SCOTUS allows.

Amnesty Int'l is just an arm of Russian propaganda now. They are not worth a damn thing. What we need is the next democratic president, if we ever have elections again, to become a signatory to the Rome Statute again, thus allowing the ICC investigators, and judges to bring these fascists to justice at The Hague.
