I don’t think they will ever give this poor man a break. They are the cruelest, most vindictive group of people I can think of.

I think that the reason is clear - they are determined that he must be punished and be seen to be punished for having stood up to them so bravely. He and the other people who were exported to that hell hole in El Salvador were never expected to fight back let alone return to the US and sue the government.

By making such a drama out of the cruelty of their incarceration the USA government portrayed itself up as being unchallengeable, immune to the judge’s orders to turn flights round or stop them on the ground.

If they lose this case that is all shown to be bunkum and what credibility they have left is shot to pieces. Unfortunately for them their present legal representation is so inept that they cannot even lie convincingly, but that most probably make them even more determined as if they lose someone in that team may go to jail for contempt.

When Mr. Abrego’s case is dismissed (I’m hopefully assuming it must) what’s to stop this asinine admin from coming after him again for more Trump(ed) up charges?

When the case is dismissed, my guess is they'll do their best to keep news media from reporting that and move on to someone else. MAGA probably hasn't been paying attention ever since they brougt him back after formulating their public slander and bogus charges. They wouldn't want to enlighten anyone about how that turned out. And they are no match for Abrego's attorneys. I do worry about his safety though because of vigilante MAGAs.

Yes, that makes sense and agreed about his safety. The DOJ were shown to be so thoroughly incompetent.

When Mr. Abrego’s case is dismissed I am hopeful he will turn around and sue this government for violating his constitutional rights.

Stephen Miller and his puppet in the State Department is (who dictated the false affidavit) should be held in criminal contempt for this bullshit, along with the no-nothing who signed the affidavit. Only the promise of jail time will stop these reprehensible, lying fascists.

Just as the law makers said that members of the military do not have to follow illegal orders and in fact it is illegal to follow illegal orders, this puppet who wrote out what was dictated to him, including apparently words he didn't even understand the meaning of, and signed it should be sued for lying to the court because his excuse "they told me to" is exactly that - following illegal orders.

Kristi Noem’s obsession with torturing this man and his family is nothing short of psychopathic and sadistic. I guess we should expect nothing more from someone who brags about having shot a puppy. The GOP's prison porn star.

You need stalwarts to file a 25th Amendment petition. Who do you suggest?

Then you have to find people willing to say, "Yea".

Al Green said there would be an attempt before Christmas. It doesn't have to be successful the first time. Every attempt provides a high profile opportunity to present the case clearly.

I'm glad you Allison Gill mentioned albeit too swiftly the honorable Rep. Al Green's motions to Impeach-Convict-Remove the worst monster that USA has ever had - d.j. tRump his soul, body and name be cursed!!

All the NONtRumputinist and better yet ANTItRumputinist Americans - you must be fanatically united in determination and relentlessness to Remove This Illegal Regime!!

You simply must!!

Thank you for covering Mr. Abrego’s case. I get haunted by how many lives have been ruined by the cruelty of the regime, the hours he has lost with his family and freedom and the ones that have been taken that we don’t cover.

Maybe a law baring a convicted felon from running for or serving as president would be a good place to start.
