I haven't heard this talked about at all and it is pretty darn alarming. Brian Kilmeade talking about euthanizing the mentally ill

Kilmeade is referring to the mentally ill, not the terminally stupid and ignorant. As a member in good standing of the Too Stupid to Be Believed Club, Kilmeade knows he would be safe from being killed for being profoundly stupid and ignorant. That would eliminate all of Fox News and the Trump administration, not to mention the entire Republican Party.

"America is in desperate need of women..."

I'd say America is in desperate need of anyone...who fits your description. In a way, your statement, innocent though it may be, is a bit condescending toward women. There is no shortage of great women in this country. There is more of a problem among men.

As an Australian who for a long time actively supported a change here from a constitutional monarchy to a republic, I’m looking at what is happening in the USA and realising that what we’ve got now is infinitely better.

I’d prefer to have an Australian as a Head of State, but, if so, with high status, but very limited powers. The best way is to rename the office of Governor General “President”, with executive authority still vested in the government that is a majority of our House of Representatives.

The founders of US democracy designed your system of government to avoid what is happening now. However, the fact that it is actually happening and no other part of the US political system, Federal or State, seems able to do anything, suggests to me that things need to change far more fundamentally than just hoping the Democrats will win the mid term elections and the 2028 Presidential election.

This terrible Presidential administration bent on setting up a fascist dictatorship suggests to me that the great weakness for democracy in the US political system has been revealed. The office of President has far too much potential power.

Trump has not only realised that Presidents can, if they really want to and lack all scruple and principle, do whatever they want. He and his fascist backers and underlings are dead serious about doing it.

Until now, you have been lucky that, until January this year, even your worst Presidents have stepped back from exploiting this to the full and frightening extent the current incumbent is.

This commentary on the shooter is still a lot of speculation.

You almost got to the suspicion I have. I am not claiming this is a fact or that I have inside information. I'm saying that what I am about to suggest seems like a very plausible possibility.

Allison, you say you don't trust the FBI. What if the shooter is offered a deal where the death penalty is off the table if he "admits" that he killed Kirk for a reason that fits the fascist's narrative? Would that surprise you?

Conservatives are GAGGING for spin because they have zero talking points to deflect from the fact that the call was coming from inside the house. So they're just gonna violate a bunch of people's 1st amendment rights instead.

Thanks Allison and Asha: On thing that really concerns me is : Brian Kilmeade apparently advocated for the killing of mentally ill homeless people during a discussion. A FOX news caster or what ever they call them.
