Late Monday night, lawyers for both Donald Trump and Nauta & DeOliveira submitted documents to Merrick Garland and Judge Aileen Cannon asking them to block the release of the Special Counsel report.
It boils down to they don't want a report that proves guilt released. With all Trump has gotten away with, release the damn thing. History needs to be a public affair.
Like the NY hush money penalty-free conviction this will make up for some of the other DOJ failures to move swiftly in 2021, and most importantly the shameful stain will be on Trump and his enablers forever. Not nearly enough but I’ll take any justice served. Let’s hope Garland doesn’t drop the ball. You can be sure Trump administration won’t hesitate to inflict maximum damage to all perceived enemies. True, the case didn’t make it to a trial jury but as I recall a *grand jury* indicted Trump on 37 counts, including 31 counts of retention of national defense documents and lying about it. Smith was hardly a pretend Counsel unlike Trump who will be a pretend president, with Musk playing the role of the real one.

It seems so odd that it all went to the defendants before Garland. Something very fishy about that. But I’m not a lawyer. IMO, If it’s heavily redacted but most of the integral parts of the January 6 plot with all of its actors was kept in, that should be released for the world to see!
Fpotus's attempts to prevent any report from Jack Smith is just further subverting the justice system. We all know fpotus and his co-conspirators want no more concrete knowledge of their illegal acts being made public. The law is not supposed to shield them. They were indicted because they broke laws.
