I'm Suing the DOJ for ALL the Epstein Grand Jury Material
Donald Trump has asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to release "pertinent" grand jury testimony and I'm going to hold them to it.
Ever since Pam Bondi and the FBI announced that there’d be no release of the Epstein files because they don’t exist, the seeming cover-up has stayed at the top of the news cycle. So much so that Trump Streisanded himself by continuing to complain about it. The continuous onslaught of media attention eventually led him to post on his own social media platform that he had asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to release some of the files. Last Thursday he posted the following:
“Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval.”
Shortly thereafter, I had a chat with Kel McClanahan at National Security Counselors, wondering if both the President and the Attorney General say that urgent release is in the public interest, who are we to question that? So he filed the following expedited FOIA request on behalf of my podcast media company:
On 17 July 2025, President Donald Trump posted on social media, “Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!"
On behalf of my client MSW Media, I request all grand jury testimony in the criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
President Trump has waived all governmental privileges by directing the Attorney General to release these records.
MSW Media (https://mswmedia.com/) operates numerous podcasts and biogs about federal government operations, including Mueller She Wrote, SpyTalk, Daily Beans, and Jack. It will clearly use its editorial skills to translate disclosed records into new material.
As President Trump has demonstrated in the quoted social media post, there is an extreme urgency to release these records to bring this matter to an "end, right now!" Furthermore, President Trump acknowledges the "ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein," conclusively demonstrating the urgency of this request.
As noted above, President Trump himself has acknowledged "the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein" and the role that these records will play in significantly informing the public. Since MSW Media is a recognized member of the news media, there is a clear public interest in this request.
The purpose of this FOIA is two-fold: first, we are asking for ALL the transcripts, not just the “pertinent” ones - putting it back on the government to determine what’s “pertinent” and second, having to justify it to the court.
I need to acknowledge that these grand jury transcripts are but a tiny part of the entire Epstein/Maxwell case file, and that what’s released - if anything - will likely be heavily redacted. And that’s even if a judge allows it. There are tons of documents the administration doesn’t need a court’s permission to release, and they could release those right now. But that’s not the point of this exercise. We’re trying to strip the administration of any excuse they might have for hiding the names of perpetrators and clients. Trump would like to blame the court for that, and I’d prefer they aren’t able to.
Today, Trump seemed to acknowledge the disappointing nature of what might be released by posting on Truth Social: “Nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics. It will always be more, more, more. MAGA!”
In addition to the FOIA request, which will become a lawsuit once the DOJ fails to hand over ALL the Epstein and Maxwell grand jury testimony to my media company, we plan to file to intervene in the DoJ’s motion filed in the SDNY to release the materials. We intend to ask the judge to grant permission rather than weigh in on redactions, leaving that to the judge in our FOIA suit - once again stripping the government of any excuse to hold back the names of “others” beside the victims (no one wants the victims’ information released.)
