Thank you, Allison for the conversation with Miles Taylor. He is quite knowledgeable about how to defy Trump. I hope Graham Platner leaves the race, to take care and help his family. I like all the people willing to step up especially Chellie Pingree. She is a phenomenal progressive and has a great big garden in Maine of huge vegetables. I lived in Maine for 14 years.
Good morning, Allison! I’m new to your Substack and was pleasantly surprised when the sourced and cited Headlines popped up just now. Brava! I’m so glad I found you and have added you to my top ten Fav’s.
PS: I first found you on a podcast conversation with my #1, Heather Cox Richardson.
Hi Allison, we are the same age, and I raised four kids, 3 oh whom are boys. They are inspired by the granularity of graham planter but deeply upset by yet another man who thinks that mistreating women, and vets, can “get away with it” because his voice is “interesting?” - anyway - I think he should withdraw and apologize. We argued if apologizing is performative or not. I think alone it is, but could a public apology and a withdraw be exemplary? Thoughts? Marianne, working on my PhD in social work :)
I commented A day or so ago about your positivity being a healing thing. Let me clarify. your presentations don’t seem to dwell so much on the negative aspects of the content. I noticed an absence of cynicism. And with all the negativity surrounding all this information, you seem to be able to present it. Free of that Cynicism. Don’t we all hope to be informed without being drained away?
