We must take this regime down now. National strike now until it's crushed by every single American resident who is able. Stop buying non-essentials.

Kathryn's avatar

Good luck with that.

Americans don’t see the point and literally just won’t do it. In Europe, when they call for a protest or general strike, people close their doors and GO OUT into the streets. EVERYONE!!

European democracies have labor parties and social democratic parties and even (gasp!) socialist parties. The U.S. has nothing close. We do, however, have a long, long history of demonizing all of the above. McCarthyism isn't dead, and it didn't start with Joe McCarthy either.

Members of my extended family were reportedly members of the communists party in the USA. One (Remmington) was imprisoned during the McCarthy era (for saying/lying to Congress about his connection to communists). He was a federal economist and was killed in prison. Another (Moos) was an associate of WEB Dubois. Most Americans don't understand that communism is not the same as authoritarianism yet here we are with an authoritarian regime of the extreme right wing!

The right (e.g., the mega-wealthy, corporations, segregationists, "traditional family values" types) has been working for at least a century and a half to persuade USians that "the left" -- anyone who works for social and economic justice -- is the #1 threat to U.S. democracy. USians in general don't understand economics, or how economic power skews the three official branches of government. I mean, look at all the people who voted for Trump because they thought he'd fix inflation! (OK, that's what many of them told pollsters and reporters, but that clearly wasn't the whole story.)

I am ready! I wonder who can lead us?

RefuseFascism.org. has been calling for the removal of the Trump/MAGA regime since 2016. The current unifying demand, no matter what viewpoint people are coming from is: “Trump/MAGA Must Go Now!” “ In the Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America.” The website is: www.refusefascism.org

I have never heard of this site until right now. I wonder how many others haven’t, either.

Michele Larocque's avatar

I visited the site. I signed up for emails. Thanks.

Apparently right now, no one.

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

That doesn’t mean it can’t happen here.

Jill B.'s avatar

Agree. American’s are too selfish, entitled and SPOILED.

C K Smith's avatar

I am with you! Let’s go, Nancy!

Stevens's avatar

National strike will never, ever happen.

Betsy Brazy's avatar

Oh i think it will, but it takes momentum to get US to that level. Next 1Million Rising is in 2 weeks. Check Indivisible

Stevens's avatar

Its a ridiculous idea. First, there's over 163,000,00p working adults in the U.S. There's no way enough people will participate to achieve any sort of critical mass.

And as the economy worsens, and layoffs increase, less people will be willing to risk their jobs that they have.

Betsy Brazy's avatar

I don’t think lazy…just paralyzed by fear.

Jill B.'s avatar

Buy essentials way ahead of time and then don’t buy ANYTHING during the National Strike!

Linda Myers's avatar

Of course, because maga loves pedophiles.

Janet's avatar

IMO, the big daddy of maga is a pedo.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Little doubt in my mind that Trump and Epstein were partners in a sexual deviant ring, involving young girls, models and pageant participants! Looking at Trump’s sexual predatory behavior, being neighbors in both Florida and NYC, where they conducted parties sans anyone but young girls and the two of them, speaks volumes!!

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Didn’t even mention his connection with Elite Model Agency John Casablanca, his past is questionable!!

Janet's avatar

He’s been hiding in plain sight for decades. It’s gut wrenching to think that Ghislaine Maxwell may get a pardon because she fingers the mad king’s enemies and exonerates him. This is a trumpian hellscape.

Lorna MacGillivray's avatar

It's looking increasingly like MAGA are the paedophiles.

Pearl Geffers's avatar

I think many were misled, not realizing how they were used and disdained.

MorningStar's avatar

I think they are a reflection of Trump and all he gets away with. Who would vote for a child rapist besides MAGA?

Michael Blunt's avatar

Is this the first step in her "suicide" or in her pardon?

Mickey McGrath's avatar

This got me thinking that she will somehow 'escape'

Susanna J. Sturgis's avatar

She might, however, realize that she's safer in prison. Riled-up and well-armed MAGAs are not to be taken lightly.

Mitch Michalec's avatar

The answer to that is yes.

Tom Pod's avatar

Agree! Less security, easier to get to. Watch out for those open windows and balconies. /s

Michele Larocque's avatar

In my opinion..... She knew all along that she would die if she did not keep her mouth shut. But with a pardon or commutation, or if she wins her appeal to the US Supreme Court. She most likely won't need to give up any names. But she still has to watch her back. Though she may get nothing from tRump without giving up some democrats. Personally, I don't care who is involved; all names need to be revealed.

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

I think these evil fucks are sitting around right now, clapping their hands with glee and laughing at all the new conspiracy theories they’ve spawned.

MorningStar's avatar

Exactly what I was thinking. I hope her family cares enough to get her back to London!

C K Smith's avatar

Excellent question!

We just have to be loud and present the Facts to the people or public forums and social media. We can't do a thing right now because the House and Senate are under MGA Control. Including DOJ, AG, FBI...you get it. We can't expect them to do the right thing and follow the law. We just have to keep presenting FACTS everywhere and maybe some people more powerful than us will wake up.

Nancy's avatar

There ARE things we can & must do. There will be no fair election in 2026. National Strike now until the regime is crushed.

I was a mental health prob officer for 18 yrs-we had Sex Off probationers frequently. Any modifications to the SO status at time of sentencing required Court approval-from the judge who originally adjudicated the case. That was in AZ. TX may be different…but if I were you-I’d want to know what judge signed off on that modification to lower GM’s SO status.

Francesgt's avatar

The call is coming from inside the house. Trump is one of the monsters his base has been looking for the whole time

.

DebSpoonhour's avatar

Absolutely!! He's obviously guilty just by the great lengths that he's going to block the release of any information.

K Doyle's avatar

Enormous thanks to you and Jess Craven for keeping on top of this criminal enterprise. She posted a link to Senator Wyden's interview on youtube. They've been investigating money transfers from Epstein for THREE YEARS that involves 4000 transfers and that is from ONE bank. This runs so deep. Silencing Maxwell will not stop the flow of information or the number of victims, or the people who have seen the files. They can run but they cannot hide.

Beth Harwell's avatar

I do hope that you are correct that they cannot hide.

Mimi Iannillo's avatar

Oh, absolutely it’s a deal! And I bet not one damn thing will be done about it. If it’s okay to beat the stuffing out of people in the streets, being punched in the head, kicked, etc. then this will go over.

It’s sad to realize the scum resides in the entire WH

GHISLAINE’S NICER PRISON DIGS - FIRST PART OF QUID PRO QUO

The first signs Ghislaine Maxwell gave Blanche what his White House client wanted are now visible.

Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan in Bryan, Texas, is clearly much nicer, more pleasant environment than a Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) like the one Ghislaine Maxwell was in in Tallahassee, Florida.

Ghislaine had complained about the Florida prison, apparently unaware her treatment was consistent with how a convicted sex trafficker would spend the next 20 years of her life. Here's why FPC Bryan is likely a "nicer" environment:

* Security Level: FPC Bryan is a minimum security federal prison camp, the lowest of the five security levels within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) system. FCI Tallahassee is a low-security institution, which is still a step up in security level from a camp.

* Housing: FPCs typically feature dormitory-style housing, unlike higher-security facilities that often have cell housing.

* Perimeter Security: FPCs have limited or no perimeter fencing, while low-security FCIs like Tallahassee have double-fenced perimeters.

* Programs and Activities: FPCs are known for being work- and program-oriented, offering various programs and activities for inmates, according to CountyOffice.org. Inmates may have more freedom of movement and access to amenities like recreation areas and educational programs.

* Staff-to-Inmate Ratio: FPCs have a relatively low staff-to-inmate ratio compared to higher-security institutions.

Inmate Population: FPCs primarily house inmates with less than 10 years remaining on their sentence (Ghislaine is serving a 20 year sentence), typically for nonviolent offenses, according to CountyOffice.org. They generally do not house individuals with a history of violence, escape attempts or a Public Safety Factor (PSF) designation

In summary:

The transfer to FPC Bryan indicates a lower security risk assessment for Ghislaine Maxwell and offers an environment with less restrictive physical controls and potentially more opportunities for activities and programs compared to FCI Tallahassee. It’s clearly a "nicer" or more favorable environment by prisoners.

One more thought on a possible pardon:

How to pay back Ghislaine WITHOUT the blowback from a PARDON?

Tell “your” SCOTUS to hear her appeal & overrule the lower court’s judgment. She can be acquitted & her conviction erased, and you claim it was the SCOTUS interpretation of the law, which youre compelled to support.

Of course, it would not be normal for SCOTUS to take this appeal, but for you …

Cycledoc's avatar

In the United States if you hear hoof beats it's not zebras.

Or you could use Occam's Razoe.

Either way same result.....a deal was made and this is only part 1.

Leslie Marcyoniak's avatar

That’s what happens when you literally are a sex trafficker with the president of the United States!! Disgusting!

Jennifer Williams (she/her)'s avatar

It also makes it easier for the Trump goons to ensure she comes down with something acutely terminal…

Zteabrl's avatar

I have seen flexibility with the out date to shoehorn someone into camp eligibility, but the public safety factor is a non-starter. She may be the first convicted pedophile placed in an FPC. While I generally applaud someone improving their conditions regardless of their offense, this is violative of black-letter prisoner code.
