The government was going to have to open up because the banks were going to fail. They just had to hold out for another week or two and then the republicans would have had to negotiate. Ok in 24 we had elections and the Republicans took the house senate and Presidency! 7 Million people stayed home ! The Government couldn’t stay shutdown any longer! One hungry Children were not getting Snap Food benefits and Federal Employees weren’t getting paid! At Airports Air Traffic Controllers didn’t either! What do people expect from the Democrats! Trump and the GOP refuse to come to the table on the Healthcare Subsidies and even if it went through ! The CR with changes would gone back to house and Mike Johnson votes it down with all Republicans ! And let’s say got passed Trump would have veto it !
