It is insane that with everything that one has to handle there are intentional cruelties from the leaders of our country and non Governmental billionaires given free rein .... WHO are we?

From an attorney: You’re providing excellent advice. Thank you for this. Things are so bleak right now my youngest son (33) is struggling with his mental health. I hate what Dump is doing just being cruel because he can.

Sound advice. I worked in HR in the private sector for over 30 years, specializing in Labor Relations lastly at a VP level. Keeping contemporaneous notes is the most important advice you just gave out. Document exactly what each person tells you, identify who they are, where they work and what date and time the conversation took place. Keep a log on each person you speak with so it is easy to follow the different conversations. Sometimes you will find conflicting information within the statements which can help you establish credibility. These people must stand up for their rights no matter how much Trump and Musk bluster. The law is on their side, at least for now.

Don’t forget about FMLA!

Short term or long term disability may be helpful if you have previously had it.

Especially good advice because they are trying to fire everyone including, presumably, the people who look at and make decisions on these applications. If a fed worker gets the reasonable accommodation, are they safe from the return to the office order?

What if you are a similarly disabled federal contractor employee? My company wants to put me on unpaid leave!
