A MAJOR Win for Independent Media Against Todd Blanche!
I'm still reeling from Judge Emmet Sullivan's 48-page ruling in Katie Phang's case against the Justice Department in the Epstein Files Transparency Act case. This is MASSIVE.
Morning, all!
First, thanks for reading the Breakdown. Independent media is proving to be a powerhouse David against the Goliath of the Trump Justice Department, and this week saw one of the biggest wins yet. Journalist Katie Phang, unbound by corporate interests, sued to get the Epstein Files that Todd Blanche is illegally hiding from the public, and a few days ago, a federal judge GRANTED her preliminary injunction.
Not only is this one step toward wresting the files away from the corrupt Acting Attorney General trying to protect his clients, but it also concludes Blanche BROKE THE LAW just a couple of weeks before his confirmation hearings.
Because of independent journalism, the Epstein Files will now be thrust into the middle of Todd Blanche’s attempts to become the top cop in the United States. The judge determined Katie has standing, that the courts have jurisdiction, and that Todd Blanche broke the law to protect Trump.
In ONE HOUR, I’ll be having one of the most important conversations about the power of the people in a long-form interview with Katie. You can watch it HERE at Noon PT, 3 PM ET. We look forward to seeing you there!

Brilliant mind, Katie Phang! Thank YOU.
On the critical imperative of an independent media and free speech:
Give up your free speech at your peril. Once they are able to silence you, the game is over. The loss of all of your other freedoms will fall like dominos after. Anyone that advocates to censor you, or to unmask your anonymity is your adversary. Treat them like one - no matter what else they say.
But why is it so vital and necessary for the combined monolithic apparatus of government, corporations, and NGOs, to brute force censor everyone while decimating the careers and reputations of the dissenters? Here is why:
The reason the First Amendment is prime directive order 1, is because it is the most important freedom we have for the same reason it is the first target an adversary subverts, disrupts, and destroys during a crime, a war, or a takeover—preventing a target from assembling, communicating, and organizing a response to an assault grants an enormous advantage to the aggressors.
"If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent will be led, like sheep to the slaughter." —George Washington
The Second Amendment is second because it is the remedy for anyone trying to subvert the First.

"The 1-A is first for a reason. The 2-A is it's twin. Together they make a bond of freedom." —S.P.H.
"At no time in history have the ones.doing the censoring been the good guys."
